Shaykh Asif Uddin
Shaykh Asif Uddin began their journey of seeking knowledge with the grace of Allah at an early age, completing Qurʾān memorization (ḥifż) at 14 from the Institute of Islamic Education (IIE). They pursued the ʿālimiyyah program, equivalent to a Master’s degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies, graduating in 2012 at just 21 years old. In 2016, they earned an undergraduate degree in Education from Benedictine University and gained valuable teaching experience in various public schools.
Shaykh Asif Uddin has been granted ijāzahs (certifications) in Qurʾān recitations from traditions such as ʿĀsim, Ibn Kathīr, Nāfiʿ, ʾAbū ʿAmr, and Ibn Āmir. They continue to further their expertise in this sacred art. Additionally, their health education from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition provided a solid foundation in dietary theories and lifestyle coaching, enabling them to design personalized strategies for holistic health.
Currently, Shaykh Asif Uddin serves as a full-time instructor at Darul Qasim College and a certified health coach at Integrative Shifa. Their mission is to inspire Muslims to adopt systemic healthy habits by integrating Islamic teachings with nutrition and wellness practices. Through this approach, they aim to nurture both inner and outer health, helping individuals achieve success in this life and the Hereafter.
