You will be greeted upon your arrival at Mohammad V airport in Casablanca and will be escorted to your hotel. Our driver will provide brief review of your tour. Overnight in Casablanca with breakfast.
Day 2:Casablanca - Rabat - (B,D)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a half-day sightseeing tour of Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. You will visit the gorgeous Hassan II Mosque, the Mohammad V square, the Habous district and the residential area of Anfa. You will have lunch in one of the fish restaurants located at seafront. After lunch we will follow the Barbary Coast to the imperial city of Rabat; the administrative capital city of the Kingdom. We will see Mechouar (ramparts and walls surrounding the Royal Palace), the fortified Oudaya Kasbah, the marvelous Mohamed V mausoleum and Hassan Tower. We will check-in to our Riad in Rabat for overnight with dinner.
Day 3: Rabat - Meknes - Volubilis - Fez - (B,D)
After breakfast, depart to the third imperial city of Meknes, which was the capital city under the reign of Moulay Ismail. This city is famous for its 40 km long city walls that preserve the most beautiful gate of Morocco, Bab Al Mansour. We will also visit the Royal Stables which housed up to 12,000 horses of Sultan Moulay Ismail. Later we will continue to Fes with an optional stop at the holy city of Moulay Idriss where the founder of the Islam in Morocco is buried. You will also visit the roman city of Volubilis which features the best preserved excavations in this part of northern Africa dating from the Roman Empire. In 1997 the site was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Arrival to Fez and check-in to your Riad for an Overnight with dinner.
Day 4: Fez City Sightseeing Tour - (B)
After breakfast at the Riad, start exploring the world’s largest medina date back to the 9th century walking through its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate; the Jewish headquarter named "Mellah" built in the 16th century. We explore the medina’s many artisans’ quarters, such as the brass, copper and wedding adornment souks. The carpenters, bakers & butchers also have their area of the medina that they call home. A highlight is a visit to the famous Fes tannery, where we have great views from a panoramic viewpoint over the men hard at work treating and dying the different hides. We’ll also get to see its religious and historical heart when we visit Moulay Idriss II’s Mausoleum (the founder of Fes), the 9th century Al Karaouine University and one of the many Medersas (Koranic school). Overnight with breakfast at the hotel.
Day 5: Fez - Middle Atlas - Marrakech - (B,D)
After breakfast, depart to Marrakech across the Middle Atlas Mountains passing by the Berber villages. You will stop in Beni-Mellal, one of the agricultural centers and the largest towns in the Middle Atlas, for lunch. Giant cedar forests, volcanic mountains, strings of lakes and plains producing oranges, olives and sugar cane line the road. Along the way, visit Ifrane, a ski resort full of Alpine chalets with red-tiled roofs. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Check in to the hotel, dinner and overnight in Marrakech.
After breakfast you will enjoy the guided city tour of Marrakech. The morning begins with a visit to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque as the landmark of Marrakech which has inspired other buildings such as the Giralda of Seville and the Hassan Tower of Rabat. Your next stop is the Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. The Saadian tombs in Marrakech date back from the time of the sultan Ahmad al-Mansur. The tombs were discovered in 1917 and were restored by the Beaux-arts service. The mausoleum comprises the interments of about sixty members of the Saadian Dynasty that originated from the valley of the Draa River. After lunch break, You Continue to the world-famous Jemaa el Fna Square, which houses an array of food, snake charmers, local musicians, and fortune-tellers. There’s nowhere on Earth like the Jemaa el Fna, the square at the heart of old Marrakesh. You will also walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. Night with breakfast at the hotel.
Day 7: Marrakech - Casablanca - (B)
After a relaxed morning, your last day of travel will take you back to Casablanca. For those wishing for extra time in Marrakech, feel free to depart in the early afternoon. Night with breakfast at the hotel.
Day 8: Casablanca - back to the airport - (B)
Transfer to Casablanca Mohammed V International airport for your return flight with plenty of tales of Arabian and Berber days and nights.
